Don't compromise web standards for IE!

Web developers hate Internet Explorer. Why? Because IE doesn't follow web standards! Ask any good web developer and they will tell you, "IE sucks!"

What are web standards?

Web standards are defined by W3C. They set a standard for how browsers should display HTML and CSS.

Why is following standards good?

Without these standards, web pages would have to be redesigned for each browser. Making the cost of website much much more. Using browsers that support standards make sure that good websites look good for you.

So what is so terrible about IE?

Besides being buggy and insecure, they don't follow standards! This makes developing website frustrating and take longer. And that makes websites more expensive to make.

A lot of cool things can be done when browsers support standards. IE doesn't allow for these cool things!

What is a good browser I can use?

Two popular ones that support standards are FireFox and Opera.

How can I help get people to not use IE?

That's what this page is all about. Are you tiered of trying to get your website to look good in IE? Then stop trying! Validate your website as xhtml 1.x and get valid CSS. If your website looks good in all modern browsers, but some things look bad in IE, then put one of the badges (below) on your website. Get IE users aware of the terrible browser they are using!

Notice

I am not responsible for anything that may happen due to putting a badge on your website. I do not recommend putting a badge on a commercial website (ones that make money by selling products or services). Blogs, community website, and the like are good websites to put the badge on.
