My ramblings that can become stale withing a matter of days or weeks reside here.
6 months ago I started writing an article on how to decrease the bounce rate on an e-store. Well, I finally got around to polishing it up and posting it! YEAH!
Unfortunately I only have a screenshot of the last (of three) designs that I compare. The first two are just sketches but I hope they will suffice.
The post actually only covers what I learned when it comes to the front page - hopefully I'll be able to post about my other cool discoveries.
Permanent linkAlrighty then, I've changed my template AGAIN! Actually, it's changed twice again but I changed my mind on the first one even before I put it up. I should make decisions like that BEFORE converting a design to CSS. All well.
Why the change? Well, I didn't really like the one I had before this. It didn't flow right. It was unbalanced. And really, what's a designers site for but to experiment on... right?
I like this template quite a bit and will probably keep with it longer than a few months. Although more things have gone wrong in IE6 with this design than any other. I've decided to make it look good in IE6 just because there is still a small percentage of my visitors that use it.
Permanent linkI have made yet another template for this site. I received some advice concerning my old one in that it was just too green. I thought it was nice but it was too green... I've ended up liking this one better anyway. The light green background on the posts always bugged me.
This is also my second template that I've made with inkscape! (First one being my start-up for Realtors) I wish someone had told me that you can do that with a vector program - it's a lot easier than struggling to make a pretty design in gimp.

Not much there yet, although I do have a really cool demo for making 2D terrain that you can check out :)
Permanent linkI've made a few changes to how things work around here. Besides making it use pype I've added this stale news section. Basically I'll put everything that ends up being stale in a matter of days or weeks here and all my articles with good content on the index. I think that will end up working much better! :D
Please also note that I moved the feeds url from /feeds/rss/ to /feed.rss. Annoyingly enough, I can't figure out how to link/redirect one from the other!!! :(
UPDATE: Got the feed urls to work!
